In which we go exploring in the Great Woods.

A surprise was in store for us this afternoon.  We got taken to the Great Woods!  It is such fun here and so much to explore.

"Trip, trap, trip, trap! " went the bridge.

"Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll .

You don't think there really IS a troll do you?  Ryder asks me with a slightly worried look on his face.

It should be okay, I've never seen one yet!  I reassure him.

Phew I'm glad there was no troll under that bridge....I was a little worried for a while.  Ryder tells me.  I look on sympathetically as I remember when I was a bit scared about thinking there might be trolls under the bridge.

This is great fun isn't it?  I ask Ryder with a great big smile on my face.

Looks like someone has started to build a bivouac - shall we see if we can improve it?

Do you think we will be allowed to stay here all night?

Unfortunately we weren't allowed to stay - probably just as well, as there is lots of wildlife that lives in the forest and it is a long way home if we got um sc...um worried.
