Dinosaurs, Cars and Cakes!

The boys have finished playing cards.

Henry and Emrys are busy with cars while James has discovered the dinosaurs.

Rather apt as James has on the dinosaur pyjamas!

I wonder which car is faster?

Emrys thinks it is his.  James isn't so sure....but then he isn't likely to agree with his brother now is he?

Henry suggests it is perhaps time to have some snacks...

Wow, just look at all these cakes...not sure I see anything healthy to eat amongst that lot!

Emrys reaches over to grab a slice of cake, Henry watches on to see which one he is going to choose, whilst James is still on an island surrounded by dinosaurs in his imagination.

  1. Oooh! Those cakes look tasty. Who is your pastry chef, Henry?

    1. Well it may be deemed 'sexist' but it is the girls who like to make the cakes :-) as was seen just before Peggy Sue's birthday party. They did such a good job of it, that whenever cakes are needed, they are the girls to ask!

  2. perfect den activity for Henry and his visitors. I remember making dens with blankets/sheets/chairs/tables when I was a little girl. I have a lovely Hilda Boswell illustrated version of A Child's garden of verses by RLS (given to me when I was 5 or 6) which showed one of the poems illustrated with an indoor den (girls like dens too).

    1. Ah yes the building of dens... I remember making them with the old wooden clothes horse/drier that my Mum had. My boys made them in their rooms tucking sheets into and on top of drawers etc...as well as using under the table. Such fun.

  3. I think they boys are definitely going to be up all night with all those sugary cakes. I think you're going to have your work cut out with them, all being on a sugar high! I like their pjs! My kids never sleep but if they did, they'd have to sleep in the nudie because none of them have underwear, never mind pjs!!! :)

    1. Well I can't even begin to describe the high they were on! Definitely up ALL night and rather rowdy and excitable as you can well imagine. James and Emrys were very good bringing their pyjamas... but of course like typical boys they haven't bothered too much about changing their underwear!

Henry has had his pyjamas a couple of years now - fortunately he hasn't grown out of them!
